The area around the eyes is where everything shows first. It is the thinnest skin on the body, it has few oil glands, and it still moves more in a day than any other part of the face. When someone asks where to begin caring for how their skin looks, they usually point here.
Not everything you can see is the same thing
The single word wrinkle covers several different things, and each behaves differently.
- Fine lines from lack of moisture. They appear when skin is dried out and become markedly less visible after thorough hydration. This is where skincare helps most, and fastest.
- Expression lines. They come from repeated movement and show mainly when you smile or squint. Skincare will not smooth them away, because they do not form at the surface.
- Puffiness and shadows. Not wrinkles at all, though often mistaken for them. They have more to do with sleep, salt, allergies and the shape of a face than with any cream.
That distinction is the whole point. Most disappointment with eye care comes from expecting it to solve something it does not — while overlooking how much it can do about the first kind.

Hydration, hydration and sun protection. Not interesting answers, but the right ones. Skin that holds water reflects light more smoothly and fine lines read less on it. And sunlight is harder on the look of the eye area than anything else — squinting into the sun is itself a movement that accumulates there.
Among ingredients, the ones that bind water make sense: hyaluronic acid in several molecular sizes, and peptides. And above them a layer that seals the moisture in, or it evaporates by evening.
Do you need a separate eye cream?
Not necessarily. Eye products differ from others mainly in being tested for tolerance near the eye, and in coming in smaller packaging at a comparable price. If your serum does not sting or irritate, it can be used here too — carefully, and keeping away from the lash line rather than going onto the lid.
Our range has no separate eye product and none is planned. Making an extra product simply because the category expects one is not a reason.
Where skincare ends
At expression lines and at the descent of tissue. Those belong to aesthetic medicine rather than to a cream, and under European rules a cosmetic must not be presented as a procedure. Claims about smoothing wrinkles away in a fortnight cross that line regularly; we do not use them.
What remains in our hands is still plenty: thorough hydration, an intact barrier, sun protection and persistence. Average care done for eight years beats excellent care done for three weeks — and around the eyes that goes double.
